Sorry couldn't resist the musical reference !
With the tide and weather conditions being at their best for a trip after Blonde Rays , Jeff took us off in " Jupiter's Moon " to the sandbanks for a try after a big Blonde Ray . It was a good excuse to use my new Avet reel too !
The tide was a small one but the water really does rip across the banks , and our use of braid still meant a pound of lead to hold at the top of the tide run .
But soon parallel lines reached out into the flowing tide ......in search of a big Blonde Ray .
After a whole pack of Doggies , I managed a small Spotted Ray , but the Blondes eluded us . maybe next time .....
